I also have the original red upholstery for my '49 EXU TC and '55 TF. Although the TC is a slightly darker shade of red than the TF, they are both much brighter than what is offered by Moss and NTG.

I think Ed just hit on the rub here, or rather backed into it. Remeber watching a paint detail in the US Army mix up some paint in the field to re-paint the areas of the choppers that had been burned
