- Not really, It would be the very rare TR that had matching VIN and Engine #'s. A Hertiage Certificate would tell you what Engine by # the car left the factory with. It won't really affect value thou

- i'm sure others will chime in and correct me if i'm wrong. triumph never matched the car and engine #s. but they should be close. it is likely that you have the original engine. really the only way t

- Hi George, I too have a '70 TR6. My commission number is CC52927LO, while my engine number is CC53226E. My engine is the original "numbers matching" engine for the car. I have the Heritage Certificat
