- One possibility would be a Volvo B-18 engine in lieu of an Austin engine? Al Schultz 67BJ8.

- I thought of that myself, but it doesn't make sense to replace a 150 hp in stock form engine with a 108 hp max. stock engine, even though there would be some weight saving. It would make more sense

- I was there and it was indeed a early BJ8. It was a real fast car - shout have seen it coming down the main straight! Driver was Bill Thummel of Va Beach. Good driver and nice guy. He was turning 2:
