The pipe that runs lengthwise down the valve cover moves water from the radiator hose to the heater core. The water then goes from heater core to the valve on the right side of the engine above the

If you don't want to leave a heater core in there unconnected, you could put in a blanking plate (like an MGA without a heater), and take out the heater. Or you could take a lesson from the early car

Removing is one - I used a saw to get the heater become lose from the firewall 10 years ago. Second is putting it back in and try to reconnect the air router cable at the lower spot of the heater. Te

Yep, I think you are right. But whichever way it flows, we learn of leaks promptly when the drips fall onto the distributor and stop the engine. I've long considered that to be an elegant design feat

Got an alum valve cover for my TD. It fits but the oil filler cap is in the back as opposed to the traditional front. I like it in the back much easier to get to but I sure looks weird. Any thoughts?

On the original stamped steel rocker covers the filler was in back on the TB & TC, in front on the TD & TF. Aftermarket cast aluminum covers came both ways. Doesn't matter which you use as long as th
