I have run upon a 1962 Mercedes 190 SL Convertible that I am going to look at soon. Any of you MG folks have any tips or hints as to what to look for ? It is a French spec. car with weber side drafts

All I can say for the 190's is they were RUSTTRAPS, watch for covered repairs, resprays, filler, poor fitting panels, sub-frames. If he says it was restored, get pictures. If he says it was just resp

Mark, I took a look at a 300SL a few weeks ago. Outside the car was in great shape no major rust. Interior all original but needed some work. The major problem with Benz cars are Engine and transmiss
