Hi Don I believe the LM 22 denotes a 22% ratio, as far as I know the ratios are 22% and 25% but there may be others. For a more definitive answer you could try contacting ORS, http://www.overdrive-re

I can see where the ID plate used to be on the passenger's side of the J type, but the plate is missing. Underneath where the plate used to be it says 13 SO 7427 cast into the housing -- not stamped.
