When did they start using that cheap junky plastic for fuel lines in chainsaws, weed eaters, mowers, etc??? Damned things age and dry and crack. And they run the lines in the most difficult to access

They started using those cheap fuel lines when they started making cheap chainsaws, weed eaters, mowers, etc. Something in the fuel/oil mix deteriorates the lines, I think. Just replace the lines eve

Yeah, I been doing just that. It's a royal pain to get the old line out of the tank. My fingers are way to big to get inside the fuel tank. But ... as needs must and all. Just needed a rant. Thanks f

Most times you can just pull the line out from the carb side of the tank. Usually there is a bob at the end of the fuel line in the tank. The trick is to get a long piece of fuel hose and push it in
