Personally, I wouldn't do it, Art. Silicone "form a gasket" is famous for forming strings inside things (where it's squeezed out of the joint), which can break off and migrate. Sure wouldn't want on

I rebuilt the master cylinders with a rebuild kit and of course there's one for the wheel cylinders but I've never heard of one for the reservoir. Art, I'd err on the side of caution and rebuild with

Thanks Randall, I'll replace the existing rubber gasket. Any thoughts on a few drops of lock-tite on the thread for the fitting that goes thru the reservoir can? Art.
