I'm not sure you can do much about the "bronze" color of the bottle without damaging the bottle material. I would try some mild chemicals first maybe white vinegar or a mild acid. You might want to

Whipped out the old tbon and it says all mark 1a s except for the last 300 or so have the rootes embossed bottle. So I suppose your car could go either way. 382000829 has the embossed one. Happy Holi

The embossed bottle and blue tudor bottle were the same size and used the same mounting basket. The MKII had a shorter fatter bottle with blue Tudor and no brass nipple. Perhaps you have one of these
