OK, I am installing a new race 948 in Redd. The new head has the thermostat/water pump bypass blocked off via a plug. My question is - can I just block off the hose from the water pump, and leave the

"Can I.......?" Yes, you can Bud. But drill at least one 1/4" hole in the thermostat "plate" surrounding the spring to take the place of the bypass, in the event the stat fails in the closed position
