I finally got my water pump (via the USPS) today. The water pump that was on the car measured 3" from the mounting surface to the pulley disc. The pump VB sent measures 4". I remember this happening

After perusing Moss's catalog, I think I have found the source of my problem. The MFDPO fitted the later style crankshaft pulley to the B. I currently have a relatively flat, two groove pulley. Moss

correct The dealer would have changed the pulling if it had installed the after market AC many offered. I don't think it was for a ower steering pump

Your refering to the pump pulley not the crank pulley, right? My 18GH crank pulley has one groove and the pump pulley has two.I may be in the same boat that you are, if the original 18GH used a 3 gro

Both you guys could be correct. I pulled and 18GK engine out of my '71 and replaced it with an 18V engine. The pumps were interchangeable but the pulleys were not. The one from the 18GK were deeper.
