Stig, I have found data that suggest the venerable Official Workshop Manual is in error in this measurement. It does indeed list 5.15 inches for the MkI, MkIA 260, and 5.43 inches for the MkII 289. M

I´ve changed (tried to) the waterpump on my Tiger Mk 1. I bougth a aftermarket pump and installed it w/out any problems. Exept that the fan belt pulley did not align with the pulleys for the cranks

Step one: Remove water pump. Step two: Using a good back stop on the shaft press the hub down to the correct spacing. Step three: Take a cutoff wheel and cut off the extra length on the shaft. Step f
