Well, I FINALLY got around to installing the Weber carb. The SU's went out like a dream, and the downdraft bolted up with nary a problem. When I attatched the accelerator cable, it was binding. I rem

It sounds like the soak in the motor oil should have done the trick. Could be a problem with the cable housing/sheath, a bur or a kink or something. The extra springs can be a pain on long trips, it'
