- I'm trying to cure the off idle flat spot on my 62 Sprite. I yanked out my 40DCOE yesterday to check it out to go through it and see if I can make some changes to cure this problem. I need to correct

- what's your back bleed/ex valve size. If it stalls on initial throttle opening, the accel pump ckt. is the culprit. It's a combination of pump valve size, duration, and bleed back. Close off the ex.

- I don't know what the size is, it wasn't marked on the valve/jet and I haven't measured it yet. According to the Braden book and Vizard they generally come with a 50 or are blocked. I'll take a look

- I did retard it a bit after I installed the 40 and it is better but didn't cure it all. I'm going to bolt the 45 back on and try again. After tearing apart the 40 I found it can stand a good rebuild.
