fuel pump seems fine filter is brand new (and clear so I could see if it was dirty or empty...it's neither) gas cap is old, so it probably leaks anyway ctp

Good Point Frank.... most folks dive into Carburetors before their they check the ignition system which is the culprit 90% of the time.... Then they blame a perfectly simple carb like the SU .... Kei
