My car (73 TR 6) was running pretty good and I decided to "tune" the Webers and installed 28mm chokes that replaced the original 30mm. Now I really messed things up. It runs and idles fine but when I

Did you by any chance get one or more of the aux. venturis in upside down when you replaced the chokes? If one cylinder is getting fuel in the idle and progression stages, but not from the main jet,

Your air corrector jet is waaay to high for your engine. As a rule of thumb, for mild engines, the air corrector is figured by adding 60 to your main jet. Your main is currently 135, your air correc

I'd go smaller on the air corrector, down to about 170 or so, and if it still looks lean, go to 140 mains, then tune from there. You must have DCOE40's, since you can't get a 28 MM for a 45. To me a

How about "How to build & power Tune Weber & Dellorto Carburetors" part of the SpeedPro Series. But they do mention CO readings in a couple of places. I'm reading it now TeriAnn http://www.overlande

Just want to point out one minor fact... the Solo II specs for TR6 _requires_ 28 mm chokes. I guess they (the ubiquitous they, of course) don't want us making too much horsepower. I'm pretty sure SC

Maybe it is time to return to S.U's or Strombergs cause they will flow a hellva lot of air and make more power than you might expect from this old time design. -- Original Message -- From: Bob Lang <

Hmmmmm, let's see. More horsepower (potentially - via higher airflow), and the rules let me drop another 100 pounds. With the Webers, the TR6 has to weigh 2000 lbs. With SU's or ZS's, the car only ne

The biggest problem with SUs is the goofy stock manifold. I've often thought of doing a whole bunch of modifications to the stock manifold to make it flow. It just LOOKS wrong. What's the full rundow
