- All the filler necks I dealt with (mostly from nissans) were some kind of brass/copper. Thus soldering is in order, rather than welding. For my Spit 1600, I unsoldered the neck from an old radiator,

- It can be welded with a mig but you would be better off brazing it. You will have to be very careful with the braze because the tanks are held to the core with solder. --Original Message-- From: owne

- It will also Spot weld together. I used some stainless angle pieces to reinforce the outside edges of my floors in Huxley, by spot welding them to the lower body seam. Worked very well! Joe
