- Chris: I'm going to make a few guesses here. If the motor were shutting off because of overload, It probably would not restart till you pressed in a circuit breaker on the motor itself. I don't suppo

- Yup...sounds reasonable to me. Regarding the motor wiring: Any chance yours is a duel voltage motor? Does the name plate make any mention of wiring for high or low voltage? How the feed wiring itself
