You didnt do anything wrong. The lining needs to b arced to the drums.Its too thick. Take the drums and lining to any good autmotive machine shop. Or find a brake shop. that can arc the lining. Chee

I know what you mean about smoking those rear brakes. I once smoked the rear brakes too but it gave me a headache so I stopped. Are you sure the pistons are backed off all the way - if it is not the
