On the 70 & 71 TR6's, there is a hockey puck-sized flame trap sitting between the valve cover vent and the carbs. I'm spiffing up my engine compartment and wondered if anyone knows what color these

They were more or less a gold-ish color, sort of like anondized aluminium - I'd say "alodine", but I could be wrong. They were most certainly _not_ painted. regards, rml -- Bob Lang Room N42-140Q | T

Doesn't sound like the originals were painted, but for what its worth the one on mine looks to me like a replacement part (it has a sticker with the part no on it) and its definitely painted silver
