Hello guru's i have a 74 b that has a switch on the trans on the pass side up high near the shifter area its no the backup my 76 trans does not have this any ideas/ The wires on it are green & green

What do you mean your 74 doesn't have it? If '74s activate the reverse lights differently, then either you have an early tranny, or BL didn't change the tranny when they changed the reverse light act

If you have two of those switches on your transmission, you have an overdrive transmsission. If you have one (you should have at least one), it is for your backup lights. It should be near the top, r

The switch on the "remote control housing" is for a neutral safety switch. The cars from somewhere around 72 I believe up to 76 had this. There was a light on the console that I believe said "NEUTRA

After much searching I found the switch on one of the wiring diagrams I have. The switch is for the seat belt warning light. The colors of the wiring match this switch and not the OD or the reverse
