- Here is a link to a picture of the back plate on my 1275cc Midget engine. Please take a look and tell me if I need to do anything with it while I have the engine out. It looks kinda cobbled together

- That is NOT 3/8" thick. That is a chunk of sheet metal stamped with a 3/8" rim. Big difference. I think you really need a 1275 backplate. David Lieb 1972 RWA Midget

- That is NOT a 1275 backpate. Its for a 948 cc. Your observation that it is "3/8" thick is also not the case. You are counting the lip, which does not come into play when fitted to the block. The cor
