- On my '70 B, on the rear engine plate, below the starter hole there is another hole. That hole had a rubber cover on it with a metal interior. The rubber was so rotten that it came apart when I tried

- I found a picture that has it, but I still don't know what it was. It is on page 43 of the Haynes manual. It is the black round cover. What is that? (So I can buy another one...) Andrew Lundgren Lund

- The rubber plug fills the hole that was used to access the torque converter bolts on automatic MGBs and Marinas. The plug is Moss part number 297-495 Lawrie British Sportscar Center
