I am currently doing some performance upgrades to the engine in my '76 Spitfire. Once the engine is back in the car I would like to have some wheels and rubber on the road that compliment the upgrade

Les, I have Carroll Shelby Mini Europa rims on my 64 Spitfire. These are real similar in apperance to Minilites. They are 13x6 fitted with 175 sr 70x13s. They fill up the wheel wells rather nicely an

Les & Larry I do know that on a spit 1500 with TR-7 rims you have all the clearance you need with 185-60-13 tires Bob Harris 76 Spit FM45276U

The only problem with the TR7 wheel-to-Spitfire conversion is the weight of the wheels. They're steel, and with tires, the wheels will check in at around 30 pounds per, which is too much for a Spitfi
