I have never seen a video of a spark plug in action but years ago I bought a clear plastic plug that came in a kit and was supposed to let you see the mixture in the cylinder as it burned. There was

Still readily available (Moss, VB etc) My experience is that they help but aren't perfect. I've never before heard of anyone having them fall apart. They do warn about letting them get too hot.

Hey Jc, The clear plastic spark plug device you refer to was most likely a "ColorTune." You bet they are still around! Very useful for understanding and more or less tuning relatively LoPo sports car

They were called "Colortune", and were available in the late fifties. Seemed to be a pretty good idea then. May still be available, but they would be fragile as I believe the transparent material was
