Nope! But cheaper air cleaners (not stock and not those silly thin pancake jobs) will make a difference. Of course you can always drill lots of holes in the stock air filter cans. It works, I was 17

When you remove the air cleaners you do get more air in and this produces a weaker mixture, with the initial effect of raising the RPM. David Vizard rates K & Ns as the ones that have least air flow
