Not a TR question...my car never sees the rain....but could use help from this vast pool of knowledge! How can I get rid of windshield smear that resembles a mosaic pattern everytime the wipers make

i have two tips 1. smear the wipers and screen with juice from an apple (the citric acid will do the trick) 2. if it never rains take the screen out and bluff it with a pair of flying gogles this sol

Try any of the mild acid cleaning solutions used to take off 'water spots' or for hard water. Often sold in the cleaning section of your local grocery. Vineger is a mild acid and sometime works well.

Chip, I had the same problem this week. Drove from Syracuse to Wilmington after dark in pouring rain with new wipers and could not stop the smearing. After hearing the advice from the list yesterday
