Bill, Sunbeam Specialties, who has good rubber too. Need it for the windshield , and possibly the weather seal. He also has some gray rope putty, like the original, but I opted for the installers mod

Pete, I wish I could give you the solution you need. Unfortunately, these are the "Lost Rootes Shop Practices". There is just one shim per side. They are made of rubber, and are tapered like a wedge.

Just a point of clarification: I bought my windshield from CAT about 5 years ago now. I was told that ALL of the new glass is slightly thinner than stock and that all of the glass, whether from CAT,

Note: current stock of the windshields from VB., are made in the U.K. and appears to be correct thickness, and who knows how long they will have them, as you said normal stock from S. Africa. Jan..

The tinted windshields that came out of South Africa are the ones that had the problems. Most of that supply has luckily dried up and most of the windshields today are the Triplex brand from England
