It was always my understanding that the arms were yellow when assembled and were brush-painted black after assembly which is the reason why on most cars the ends remained yellow. -- jay fishbein wal

I have owned two extremely unmolested Sprites that had the yellow on them. One a Bugeye and one a Mk II Sprite. Also a few of my more molested Sprites that had it also. I guess some were stock that w
