This new A048 is the best Yokohama tire at the moment. A lot of cars use it over here and I change over to them for next year. In a car magazine was a test of several tires and the A048 was the best

Henry, I don't know what the problem with the 048s is as it relates to the spec racers, but look at these comments. http://www.scca.org/garage/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1490&get=last and http://www.s

If that's the tire that the Spec Racer Fords have been using this year, the word I've heard is that they're very good for one session, but go off very quickly. It got so bad that the SCCA was marking

I have been using the Yoko A008's on Tristan for forever (we get take-offs from John Berget) and they have been the BEST tire! One set would last me a whole season and part of the next, grip VERY wel

The only competition radial tire that is made in our size seems to be a loser, not that I held much hope for the AO48 in the first place. The tire is essentially a slick with some grooves molded in.

The problem is that the first heat cycle is by far the best, so well heeled spec racers are changing them every run. Henry, I don't know what the problem with the 048s is as it relates to the spec ra
