Periodically, I get a wild hair about putting a polished alloy valve cover on the 'Bs engine. But they don't have breathers for hooking it up to the carbon canister. Is it possible to put a breather

I have a nice alloy cover on the Mini Cooper S. It came without a vent, but I added one by working up aluminum tubing by hand and drilling the cover. I took the vent parts and cover to a good custom

They are available with, or without, the breather fitting. Both of mine have the breather fitting on passenger side near back of the cover. Purchased one thru Moss, the other later thru Vict. Brit. M

If you fit a breather remember the original has a restricted vent to prevent weakening the mixture too much, you should be able to get the size of this from your existing cover by probing with drill
