I have discovered I have two slightly different (Lucas) alternators for the 1978 MGB I'm trying to re-assemble. Style #1 (that came with the car) has 3 terminals - one large, central spade; two small

They are interchangable. If I am not mistaken, the Moss catalog has has an explanation. Make sure you get it right though, otherwise you can smoke the harness and end up with a bad gas gauge for 5 ye

Look at http://www.britishwiring.com. They have a Lucas alternator plug listed on page 17 of their catalog. It might be the one that you need. They're easy folks to deal with. Bud Krueger 52TD /// o
