Is there an easy way to test my resistor? I'm try to trouble shoot why me ignition light stays on (dim) all the time. I think I have a short but I thought maybe it was the resistor. At least that is

As Maynard has said it is nothing to do with the ballast resistor, but it can be caused by a bad connection in the circuit that feeds power to the resistor. However the most likely cause is, again as

Today I went looking for a short. Needless to say I didn't find one. With the engine running I can put my cheap alternator tester on the battery posts and it shows 14 volts normal. If I Turn on the w
