- My 66 1600 has stock points, dont' know what kind of coil, and the resistor has never been hooked up. I don't even know where the heck to wire it, so I never messed with it. It has always run great,

- Hi Dave, It should be just below and slightly to the right (as you face it) of the coil. It is a ceramic block about 3/4" square x 2-1/2" long (more or less) with a male spade lug at each end. Best r
