Started to reassemble the 1275. The machine shop said that crank did not need a grind and that standard bearing would work. Plastigauge on the main bearing indicates a .003 clearance. This is at best

The factory specs say the main bearing clearances are .0010 to .0027 So I think that that .0030 is a stretch. Plus the last thing I want to do is put a sloppy fitting crank in. I am assuming that you

You should be using assembly lube for the bearings and lifters and high friction parts. Sta-Lube makes an assembly lube with moly-graphite that works great. Spray the camshaft with dry graphite film
