Sunbeam was also purchased in instead of sporty timeline'? I haven't read the book yet, but the story I heard in regard to the above was that Lyons wanted to replace the SS name with the Sunbeam name

You're correct, there was and still is a Harrington Tiger. In regards to the drag racing Tiger with the fastback, no it was not the Harrington Tiger. Back in the 60's you could purchase a fiberglass

The photo of the drag car you saw had a fiberglass hardtop installed on it, but not a factory top. True the Harrington Tiger is basically a tiger with a funny top, but one commisioned by Rootes, like
