As Ray G states, the first thing to check is the flex hose. Even if it is 'new' it may be old enough for the rubber to deteriorate. No telling when it was manufactured. Next, check the return springs

All of the modern fluids have an additive that causes seals to swell. One of the problems with the early silicone fluid was that it lacked this component, causing leaks in less than perfect systems.
