I've seen,on a friend's Spitfire,Where,after rebuilding the clutch master,the piston would not fully return.This can give strange reactions. You can pull back the rubber boot and check.It turned out

I don't recall the make of fluid. I don't think that it is important. You should be able to use anyone's silicon brake fluid without any fears. Vic W.
