- When you do get it open, don't forget to install a second short cable direct from the passenger side wheel well, tucked well up out of sight. Then you won't have that problem again. Best wishes. Bill

- Just install a new cable - these get quite a bit of action - I have never replaced mine but have oiled it periodically and don't allow kinks - it's finally getting frayed and ready to go after 29 yea

- you're lucky - to have old ones - the new ones are crap - i've had the outer cable seperate from its holder and slid thru (on the end inside the car) on about 6 in the last 2 years Cheers Jack Mc ///
