I got a Soft Top frame off an early sprite. I think a 65. It has roll up windows. Would the frame fit my bugeye? Or do bugeye's have different metal frames? Also I'm going to put the Temp Gauge/ Oil

Roger was a bit brief. But no the frame is totally different. Yes the bulb will fit the head BUT with the spacer. Yes you will smash the bulb without the spacer -- Frank Clarici Toms River, NJ

So the sprite convertable top metal frames that can be seperated into two pieces will not work on my bugeye then? For the sender unit bulb type do I just use a thick washer to keep the bulb from gett

No, there is an intermediate piece that goes into the cyl head that receives the bulb and it's pinch nut. This cyl head you're going to put the sender into, did it have a simple plug that you removed
