More info. Working on the car in the drive way with the bonnet up it seems to never have this problem. Only stopping in traffic for like 5 minutes, car at operating temperature at a full stop it will

I made a heat shield out of my wifes cookie sheet. That helped ALOT! After a long idle the carb loads up with what seems some extra gas. The car takes of kind of slugishly but then it clears up. To a
