Can anyone tell me roughly what clearances should be between a camshaft and the bearings it spins on. On more than one Big Block Mopar engine I 've had problems getting the cam to fit into the block

Scott, No NO No You fit the bearing to the cam not the cam to the Sometimes you have to scrape the bearing. Most times you can get clearance with a 3 M type pad. The bearing makers say anything from

Scott, I took a a set of cam bearings off the shelf and measured them myself today. Took a cam out of the box and measured it also. Looked up in the Michigan/Clevite bearing book and the spec's where
