I'm in the final phases of a carb conversion. Not a standard one and that is where the problem lies. The car is a 65 MGB with an 18V engine (from a 72 but the number indicates a later block). We are

The ports aren't in the castings of the HS4, they're in the air cleaners. At least that's been my experience. You can use either the PCV valve into the intake manifold, or the tubes into the air cle

Good question. The way I see it... ...you need some kind of crankcase venting, so rule out blocking off the breather tube. ...you probably don't want it connected to a constantly varying vacuum, eith

I thought of that possibility. However, I would need the pcv valve and either the adapter to connect it to the intake manifold or an earlier intake manifold. Except I still have the distributer to in

I ran a loop of tubing over the top from one carb to the other. Clamp them on because if one comes off it doesn't run well at all. -- Bob Shaw Check out Shaw's Garage at http://www.mlcltd.com/shawsga

I suspected there might be some kind of issue with the manifold. But AFAIK (i.e. what my 66 has), the PCV-to-manifold connection is just a very very short piece of rubber hose with 2 hose clamps, to

Hi Dave, What's the # on your HS-4's? I have AUD-326s on my '69 and I have a set of 425s from a '70 (working from memory); all have the ports for the breather tubes. Cheers, CR /// /// mgs@autox.team

These are AUD-135s - from 1965. My 67 BGT has the AUD-278s, also without the ports. Most likely, the breather tube ports were introduced when the PCV valve was eliminated, if I was to guess., maybe 6

Does your intake manifold have a bunch of threaded plugs in it? Both of mine do. I guess one of them could be removed and a PCV could be inserted in the hole. Cheers, CR /// /// mgs@autox.team.net ma
