I have a 61 BT7 that runs great..........except. The car runs fine while accelerating, but when I am driving at a steady constant speed I feel a surge. Pressing on the accelerator just a small amount

Can you explain a bit more... what do you mean by "surge"? Do you mean your car is going faster? Or is it losing power? What kinds of sounds is you car making? That'll help us diagnose the problem.
