I find soldering the frayed ends works quite well. If it still is splayed out, then I carefully grind it down until it fits in the housing. Paul A

Hi Larry, Heat Shrink is a bad idea. It pulls off somewhere about the middle of the cable, It also doesn'r hold up well in oily environments. Soldiering works the best. Make sure you get all the fray
