There is mylar tape, which IS chrome and might be stretched nicely and done well. Eastwood sells stuff to spray on tail light housings etc. I wonder what that would look like with clear. Better yet -

Some are better than others but I have found that any paint with a high silver and all chrome paints need to be top coated with clear or it will rub off on you fingers has you handle the item days la
