I lost some coolant (forgot to tighten a hose clamp), so I need to add more. The handbook warns not to overfill, but never mentions what the correct level is. Just to the bottom of the expansion tank

Anywhere up to 1/2 way in the expansion tank should be good. I usually go about 1/4 full in the expansion tank and check it after a run and the engine cools down to make sure the level is still the

You use the terms "expansion tanks" and "overflow tanks"...are these two different tanks in the system? If so, I am all mixed up. Mark L.
