is the cap on the radiator a pressure cap - because it shoudn't be - the cap on the reserve tank is the pressure one - on the radiator it should be a blank cap - if they are reversed or both pressure

In regards to radiator caps... The pressure cap goes on the overflow tank. Tom Walter reports the original cap to be 7 psi (he also suggests running 30% antifreeze but that's another topic). I've see
