Congratulations on getting your '76 officially on the road! Congrats also on getting your wife behind the wheel; I have to coerce my mate just to get her in the passenger seat. Your 3000 RPM @ 50 MP

Prior to the engine going bust, I was watching the temp gauge very closely. I'm using a mixture of water and Zerex Racing Super Coolant. This stuff works well. You use it in a 10:1 proportion, 10 par

Hello everybody, I drove my '76 legally for the first time two weeks ago with new MD tags after 2 and half years! It was a thrill to finally go on the roads, albeit scary with larger cars all around.

I dunno, I like the 'better driving through chemistry' idea, but I think I'd rather take the thing apart, have the rad boiled, and flush everything else with a hose first, then try a phos. acid spray

I think you'd best stick to coolant flush rather than make your own. You could do damage to seals, water pump etc making your own brew. PS

I don't know how well it would work, but the principle should be ok. I would descale the cooling system first. Otherwise you are wasting energy treating rust flakes that will fall off anyhow and not
