hi everyone just about to put my unleaded head back on after slowly rebuilding the rest of the engine, I have read before that some people use a light smear of copper grease on the cylinder head stud

Stock studs, use motor oil. ARP studs, use their moly lube. Using other lube will affect torque readings, and you won't really know how much torque is needed to get the proper stretch. Cheers, Chris
